Visitors to the M&T Expo will be able to see the latest equipment in the concrete and asphalt areas

Launches by the most important brands in these segments will be key to meeting the demands of new infrastructure projects in the coming years

Investments in infrastructure should have a positive effect on the Brazilian economy by 2024. According to projections by the Brazilian Association of Infrastructure and Basic Industries (ABDIB), BRL 235 billion are expected to be invested, especially in the areas of logistics, transportation and sanitation. This scenario is driving the concrete and asphalt equipment industry, which will present its main launches during M&T Expo – part of bauma NETWORK, Latin America’s leading trade fair for construction and mining machinery and equipment, scheduled for April 23-26, 2024, at the São Paulo Expo.

With the confirmed presence of manufacturers such as Ammann, Bomag Marini, Caterpillar, Conishi, Deutz, Fiori, IMB, Liebherr, Lintec-Ixon, Margui, Putzmeister, Romanelli, Superior, Wirtgen and Zoomlion, visitors to the M&T Expo will have the opportunity to find out about innovations in compactors, recyclers, spreaders, pavers, milling machines, asphalt pavers, asphalt plants, soil plants, road reclaimers, planers, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, concrete batching plants and concrete distribution masts, which will be essential for bringing productivity, efficiency and sustainability to road infrastructure, urban mobility and civil construction projects in general.

This year, the Ministry of Transport plans to carry out 13 highway concessions, which could generate BRL 122 billion in investments. “This context of positive projections is fundamental to boosting the growth of our economy and the social development of our country. In this sense, we are convinced that M&T Expo, together with its exhibitors, will present the most advanced technology in equipment, components and services, as the industries invest in research and innovation to meet the demands of concessionaires, construction companies and society,” says Rolf Pickert, CEO of Messe Muenchen do Brasil, promoter of the fair, which has the institutional support of the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema).

M&T Expo will provide the ideal environment for checking out market trends, updating knowledge and broadening relationships with the various audiences in the construction and mining equipment sector, and for doing strategic business. Around 35,000 visitors are expected from Brazil and abroad, including directors, managers, engineers and professionals from construction companies, mining companies, industries, transport companies, rental companies, investors, authorities and representatives of municipal and state institutions responsible for the work.

For more than four decades, M&T Expo has sought to play an important role in the evolution of the machinery market in Brazil, being a meeting point for the entire sector. “In the current climate change scenario, the fair will also be focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, carbon neutrality, reducing material consumption and optimizing the use of natural resources. Visitors will also be able to follow all the efforts made by the industry and suppliers to achieve these goals,” explains Pickert.

In addition to the concrete and asphalt area, M&T Expo 2024 – part of bauma NETWORK will also feature machine launches with on-board technology and innovations from the main manufacturers of yellow line machines and people and load lifting machines. The parts and components industries and service suppliers will also showcase their new products. To attend the fair, just complete the accreditation in this link.

The event will feature a number of attractions such as the Demonstration Arena, with exhibitors’ machines in operation in real time, a series of content activities, free operator training courses, the Prêmio Mais Sustentável By M&T Expo (Most Sustainable Award), which will recognize responsible practices in the trade fair sector and highlight exhibitors who adopt innovative solutions, M&T Expo Capacita, in partnership with 3x More Trainings, the São Paulo Association of Earthmoving Contractors and Rental Companies, Compressed Air, Hydraulics and Construction Equipment (APELMAT) and Instituto Opus, which offers discounts on vocational courses for exhibitors and visitors, the Machine Operators Course, also in partnership with APELMAT, with free practical and theoretical classes during the event, and the Brazilian Machinery Museum, an unprecedented attraction in the country.
