M&T Expo will be the main launch platform for earthmoving equipment in 2024

With constant investments in innovation and technology, the main manufacturers will show how the sector is prepared to meet demands for productivity, safety and carbon neutrality

A year of good prospects for the yellow line (earth moving) equipment market, with an estimated growth of around 7% in machine sales in 2024 compared to 2023, reaching more than 33 thousand units sold, according to the Sobratema Study of the Brazilian Construction Equipment Market. This amount will be contributed by M&T Expo – part of bauma NETWORK, the main construction and mining machinery and equipment fair in Latin America, which will be held from April 23 to 26, 2024, at São Paulo Expo, and which, over almost three decades, has contributed to fostering the sustainable development of the sector in Latin America.

According to the Sobratema Study, 76% of participating companies estimated that the market should grow in 2024. This optimism is in synergy with the expectation of the more than 35 thousand visitors to the fair, to discover the main launches in construction and mining equipment, which will be presented by the main manufacturers in the sector: BMC Hyundai, Case Construction Equipment, Caterpillar, Develon, John Deere, Wirtgen, Komatsu, Liebherr, LiuGong, Manitowoc, Müller, New Holland Construction, Sany, SDLG, Volvo Construction Equipment, XCMG, Yanmar and Zoomlion.

Rolf Pickert, CEO of Messe Muenchen do Brasil, organizer and promoter of the 12th edition of M&T Expo, highlights that the public will have the opportunity to gain experience about the future of the construction and mining market, as manufacturers make constant investments to meet the demands of the construction, infrastructure, mining, agribusiness, forestry and industrial markets.

“The equipment is increasingly modern, with high technology on board, which has been revolutionizing the way machines operate, contributing to greater productivity, safety, quality and efficiency. Currently, we are also following developments in electrification and other types of engines to reduce carbon emissions during operation”, comments Pickert.

With the institutional support of the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema), M&T Expo 2024 – part of bauma NETWORK, will also be the stage for launches in the areas of lifting and moving loads and people, concrete, asphalt, components, and services. Accreditation to visit the fair is open and can be done through this link.
