Sales of road implements rise 34%

In March, 14,851 bodies, trailers and semi-trailers were registered in Brazil, 3,827 units more than in February

The registration of new road implements used in the civil construction and agricultural sectors grew 34.7% in March. According to the National Association of Road Equipment Manufacturers (Anfir), 14,851 units were registered, 3,827 more than the 11,024 recorded in February, with emphasis on sales to the agribusiness and civil construction sectors.

In addition to the increase in relation to the previous month, the good performance could also be seen in comparison with the same period last year, when 13,022 bodies on chassis and semi-trailers were registered. As a result, the numbers for the first quarter, estimated at 37,532 units sold, are also positive, representing an increase of 4.3% compared to the 35,986 sales made in the first three months of last year.

According to Anfir, this good performance is due to the record harvest of grains, as well as the heating up of the civil construction sector, a demand that positively impacts the segment of semi-trailers and trailers.

On the other hand, the registration of bodies on chassis remained stable in the accumulated result for the quarter. There were 16,642 units, a variation of 0.95% compared to the 16,482 products licensed in the first quarter of 2022.
